We started Tended Goods Co. for an ordinary reason: we were tired of buying things we didn't expect to keep. Shirts that pilled after a season. Sheets that thinned within a year. Things bought quickly and replaced just as quickly.
We wanted to build the opposite of that, a small collection of natural-fiber goods chosen for exactly one reason: they last, and they get better with use. Not the trendiest options, not the cheapest. Just the ones worth tending to for years.
We're starting with linen clothing because it's the material we trust most for everyday life: gardens, kitchens, kids, and all the mess in between. Up next are linen and cotton aprons, followed by wool and cashmere or alpaca blankets and other natural fiber goods for the home, added slowly, and only when we've found something worth standing behind.
This journal is where we'll write about the materials we choose, the people who make them, and the small, practical decisions that go into building a household of things you don't have to think about replacing. Thanks for being here at the start of it.
