For anyone building out a small collection of clothes specifically for garden work, here's how we think about it, fiber by fiber, including what's next for the garden and the home.
Linen (available now): breathable, quick-drying, and forgiving of dirt and creasing, well suited to warm-weather garden work.
Cotton (coming soon, in our aprons): easy to wash after the messiest planting days, breathable, and simple to layer over whatever you're already wearing, a practical match for an apron built for the garden and the kitchen alike.
Wool, cashmere, and alpaca (coming later, for the home): naturally water-resistant on the surface, warm even when slightly damp, and odor-resistant across long wear, strong candidates as we expand into natural fiber blankets and other home textiles, once we've found suppliers we trust.
The common thread across all of them: natural materials that age visibly rather than falling apart invisibly, and that reward basic care with a much longer working life than most synthetic alternatives marketed for the same use.
